This one ran on TV and radio for about 2 ½ years (well, this and the many other versions collectively) I was originally trying ideas on keyboard, but somehow picked up the guitar and stumbled onto this riff. It just kind of worked, as it drove the music without the need for drums, which created space for the wall-to-wall dialogue.
I used my brother’s very shoddy, difficult to tune, hard to play guitar. My finger’s still feel it to this day.
