we were asked to adapt the pop hit “funky town” from the eighties to be played on glasses. spent the day banging on tabletops, clinking and tapping away… super fun
BONAQUA
This was my very first ad (which also went to cinema). It ran for 5 years! (that’s like a high school career, or 1 year short of a medical degree). This was my first introduction to working with picture. To think I did this with a Pentium III, 1 GHz and a Soundblaster Live card.
Smirnoff Purity
The New York branch passed this ad onto the Cape Town agency to solve the music. A chance for me to crank the guitars and drums (pretty much everything!) All music & sound design by me (including the kitchen sink, which sits very softly in the mix)
