AD PACEM – Projection Mapping Mural Collaboration
Internationally renowned South African artists Inka Kendzia and Faith XLVII presented their new collaborative projection-mapped mural in Cincinnati during the Blink Light Festival.
Faith’s mural, thematically based on Eirene, the Greek goddess of peace, highlights the importance of actively working towards a society that functions on open communication and inclusion.
The intricate projection art is carefully constructed to interact within the artwork, layering a narrative alluding to borders, immigration, freedom of movement, peaceful protest, government oppression and the strength of the human spirit in overcoming these challenges.
The symbolic use of the flag accentuates the power of non-violent protest and negotiation in the pursuit of peace. The project invites the viewer to connect with their humanity and to see themselves as a part of the whole; to feel an interconnectedness between humans and nature, and the fluidity of geographic understandings of place and home.

MARAMZA – uWrongu feat BONJ MPANZA
“UWrongu” is an intimate music video stylistically influenced by Afro Futurism. Distortions and glitches are used to represent the turmoil of emotions felt, the complexity of love, anger, loss and betrayal. The imagery distorts to reveal the storm that is whirling within Bonj, the mess that was created in her head, her emotions overflowing, spilling over the edges of the usual cinema crop. All this while Bonj looks directly at camera and speaks straight to the heart of the viewer.
The video is a collaboration between Inka Kendzia and Sara CF de Gouveia and the track is by Bonj Mpanza and DJ Maramza. Inka loves playing with projections and video mapping, this collaboration was a perfect mix between this projection art and the fantastic filmic and documentary approach and great eye of Sara’s

ZAKI IBRAHIM SHOWVISUALS FOR DESIGN INDABA
Working with the powerful ZAKI IBRAHIM on her visuals for her set at the DESIGN INDABA 2018 was such a blessed experience. We played with projection on Origami and tessellated paper sculptures made by GEN and of course projection art onto her herself. Her music speaks of the connectedness of beings, of us all being planets emitting frequencies and I visualized this for her... the timeline was quite crazy on this... filming for 2 days and then editing for 4 to have all the tracks ready for the show, 6 of which were pre-edited and the remaining mixed live with the prepared clips and original content. Her recently released album THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANETS is receiving rave revues and was such an incredible inspiration .... Thank you Zaki

Mysterium Tremendum
Mysterium Tremendum is the latest immersive collaboration between Faith XLVII and Inka Kendzia created at the Juxtapoz magazine Clubhouse during Art Basel Miami.
Combining old and new technologies these South African enchantresses envelop us in a carefully constructed inner sanctum of astronomy and journey us through the mystical notion of the infinite within. In a time of intense political and cultural apprehension this work arouses a mysterious and sublime knowing which is undoubtedly needed for a shift in the global realpolitik.

THE BEATLES – EIGHT DAYS A WEEK
I was beyond honoured to be directing and creating the motion design for this fantastic documentary focusing on the Touring Years of this band that I admire for their music and their incredible impact on not just musical history. It was an absolute pleasure to attend the worldwide premiere in London. Once I can show some of the motion design I will update this post and in the meantime I will just keep beaming with joy and listening to all their songs again and again

Rapsputin
Our friends at OFyt gave us complete creative freedom for their fun rebranding of Romanoff Vodka. We love this! Noël and I played around with video mapping and stop motion as hand made looking as possible. Fun for the Mad Monk Rapper Rapsputin or rather Rasputin, Patron Saint of Romanoff Vodka. We spent one evening filming our friends rapping and dancing with props and rear projected video. super fun. Thank you all round

Open Up – Mercedes Benz
Mr Sakitumi & The Grrrl were invited to be inspired by the sights and sounds while driving the Mercedes E 500 convertible with the top down to create a musicvideo for MB life - the online magazine
We loved every moment!
The super short turn around time - delivery of a 3minute 33seconds video 3 days after the shoot - made for vj effects in the online process rather than using AFX . Thank you to the amazing team that made this all possible

has your food had fun?
The great Noël and the Grrrl collaborate as PONYPANDA. We played with playdough, turned the turntables and filmed the fun all in the name of food for thought: HAS YOUR FOOD HAD FUN?
The phonotrope / zoetrope inspiration to create this installation for 'THE INSPIRATION TABLES' at the Toffie Festival in Cape Town
The music is FUNKY STRUT by Mr Sakitumi
The Grrrl is an idealistic dreamer and Noël likes to dream with her. We grateful to be able to improve and work with our passion for visual expression and to use our visual art to bring emotion onto dance floors, telling stories through the play of light.

The making of Jungle Jimmy
AN MK AWARDS NOMINATION FOR JUNGLE JIMMY
This is the behind the scenes fun we had bringing the Jungle Jimmy to life. It was hot... it was really really hot... Cape Town in a heat wave... always a good time to switch on lights and climb into an even hotter suit, but Tao performed brilliantly and kept his smile. The many characters had been waiting for months to boogie to the beat and now the bunnies got to hop about. As you can see by the credits, we are a small team, a family affair, no budget, just endless love, laughter and creativity... 3 lights, a fan and a garage
